The future Research Centre for Robotics and Underwater Technologies (Cirtesu) has began its activities. The Universitat Jaume I (UJI) presented the project of a new infrastructure to advance in robotic research and underwater technologies with potential applications in rescue, archaeology, biodiversity conservation, aquaculture or oil and gas industry. An inversion of 857,000 euros will be employed in the construction of a unique infrastructure that will have a container of half a million litres of water to explore new possibilities for submarine robotics.
