HUMABOT is the official robot competition for the 2014 IEEE-RAS International Conference on Humanoid Robots, which will be held in November 18-20th 2014. Madrid. Spain.
Participating researchers focus on algorithmic development for fully autonomous robots, i.e., robots that operate without human intervention. In this edition, tests will be held in the kitchen of the house.
TESTING THE HUMABOT CHALLENGE
You can test the HUMABOT competition environment in Webots. First, download and install a free 30-days trial version of the simulator. Then, download the HUMABOT environment and decompress it. Finally, run Webots and open any of the two competition worlds (HUMABOT_Darwin or HUMABOT_Nao).
Registered participants will be granted access to an online robot in the kitchen environment of the competition, to test their algorithms in a real setup.
IEEE-RAS HUMANOIDS´2014 provides travel support for student participated in the HUMABOT CHALLENGE 2014. In order to be granted travel support, students are obliged to submit an official application form. The student’s travel expense will be partially supported, depending on the number of applicants and availability of funds. The maximum travel support is 2.000€ for the team depending of the origin of the applicants.
IEEE-RAS HUMANOIDS´2014 will assign the following awards per team for the HUMABOT CHALLENGE 2014 winners: 1.000€ - 1st place, 700€ - 2nd place, 300€ - 3rd place
